From Corporates to Commercials to Drama.

For the past four years, Ron has worked on the BBC Production of River City which is based in a permanent purpose built backlot exterior set and studio near Glasgow. This is a fast paced production and a two week block involves a week on the backlot, then a week in the studio.  River City requires a naturalistic look, but gives the DOP scope for dramatic enhancement as the storyline demands.

Ron has brought his talents to many a production over the years. Every job brings it’s own unique challenges, but Ron meets these head on in his own inimitable fashion, bringing style and innovation to everything he works on.

Whether it is a straight forward no nonsense corporate video, or a large commercial shoot, Ron can adapt to any genre with his fast, friendly, professional manner.

"Bon Vogage"

This was a Drama short that was filmed in High Definition.

As Director Of Photography, Ron worked with production company Stray Cat Motion Pictures and Director Neil Mac. The shoot involved locations in Glasgow and Ayrshire and included taking over the entire main entrance and the magnificent marble staircase of the City Chambers in Glasgow, which doubled as the Vatican in Rome.  Filming also provided  the challenge of turning a cold windy beach in Saltcoats and making it look like a South Sea Island paradise.
